Sweet Little Money Box    

Northeast, likely Pennsylvania, ca. early 19th century.

Original surface or red paint or red-pigmented varnish, and mustard & black paint on pine. Subtly-domed top, original cotter-pin hinges. All original save missing the hasp. The graphically painted MONEY BOX label makes this little box special.

Just 4 7/8 inches long x 2 ½ deep x 2 5/8 tall.
